eSky is the leading online travel agency in CEE, operating in 50+ countries. They monitor hundreds of airline websites for ticket prices and policies. Prices are easy — luggage policy changes are not. Stale luggage info meant unhappy customers and out-of-pocket compensation. We replaced the manual scan with an unattended Python bot.
Luggage policies are buried in T&C pages, change without notice, and frequently get updated outside business hours. Outdated policy information caused customer complaints and compensation costs. Manual monitoring across hundreds of carriers was tedious, error-prone, and required more than one full-time person.
We built a Python automation that monitors airline websites daily, detects policy modifications in seconds, and routes notifications only when a real change occurs. Site sequencing, data preprocessing, and historic comparison logic live in clean, maintainable Python — intentionally avoiding cloud-based monitoring SaaS that would have driven cost and complexity up.
A Control Room dashboard shows historical change logs and bot performance, and email notifications hit eSky's ops team only on confirmed updates.
The bot launched in 8 days with 32 hours of total work. ROI hit at the two-month mark, and the bot fully replaced the manual monitoring loop — freeing more than one full-time employee from a job no one was glad to do.
All of these started with a 30-minute call. Yours can too.
