Canada Satelite operates globally, providing satellite phones, TV, and internet to clients including emergency-response teams. Their backend couldn't reconcile prepaid balances, expirations, and postpaid usage limits with the public-facing shop — which meant billing errors, service drops, and risk on the worst possible day.
The shop and the CRM lived on different platforms, with no native integration handling prepaid balance & expiration logic or postpaid usage caps. When a customer needed a top-up — especially in an emergency — ops teams had to manually reconcile records, run validations, and trigger checkouts.
Manual processing meant billing inaccuracies, missed top-ups, and service interruptions on satellite links that customers were depending on for safety-critical work.
We built an RPA layer that sits between the CRM and the shop backend. For auto-recharge, the bot pulls eligible records from CRM, validates them against current business rules, and either flags data issues for review or runs the checkout end-to-end. Payment failures trigger templated email + SMS notifications; successful transactions write back to CRM with vendor top-up confirmation.
The postpaid flow re-uses the same skeleton with adjusted queries and an extended ruleset. Every run produces a structured report covering exceptions, edge cases, and successful executions, all logged on the matching CRM record.
Hundreds of SIM transactions per month run untouched. Billing inaccuracies dropped to near-zero, and CRM data parity with the shop is maintained automatically.
For Canada Satelite's customers — including emergency responders — that translates to uninterrupted satellite connectivity in situations where it matters most.
